ABORTION AMONG TEENAGERS
There are many issues in Indonesia such as violence, drugs, teenage pregnancy, and teenage abortion those are on a rise. Teenage abortion has become a complicated issue because there are so many young girls getting pregnant and trying to take the easy way out by having an abortion. They are worried their life will be interrupted by the birth of the baby, they are afraid to face their parents and their society, they think having a baby is a big deal it cost a lot of money and spends a lot of their time.
Abortion is wrong and it is not the right thing to do. Abortions make things worse, this makes it harder and it’s not a good choice. Abortion is the same as taking away God’s creatures. Besides that, for the teenagers who done the abortion will suffer many bad effect. According to CNA , Teenagers can get an breast cancer, they also can get Ectopic (Tubal) Pregnancy (any pregnancy that occurs outside the uterus), and they also get effects on Future Pregnancies, such as:
- They will be more likely to bleed in the first three months of future pregnancies.
- They will be less likely to have a normal delivery in future pregnancies.
- They will need more manual removal of placenta more often and there will be more complications with expelling the baby and its placenta.
- They next baby will be twice as likely to die in the first few months of life.
- They next baby will be three to four times as likely to die in the last months of his first year of life.
- They next baby may have a low birth weight.
- They next baby is more likely to be born prematurely with all the dangerous and costly problems that entails.
Based on effect above, we can conclude that abortion is a very irresponsible choice to choose because abortion has many negative physical and emotional effects.
